Amata Means Beloved by Sister Mary Catherine Perry.  This is one of our book club selections.  It was a quick, very quick, read.  A bit slower paced that what I have been reading.  Overall, didn't really like it that much, but some others did.  Probably just where I am at the moment.  Probably not a good sign, either.  Better get back to some good books and stay away from trash.

Breaking Dawn 11/24/2008

Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyers.  Book 4 in the Twilight series.  So glad this is the last one because the house looks like hell now, haven't made dinner in a while, and the laundry needs to be done.  I can get a bit obsessed when I am into a series.  I am glad I read them, they are good.  Don't think Girl will be reading them till High School though.  Too much sexual tension... lead me not into temptation.

Eclipse 11/24/2008

Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer.  Book 3 in the Twilight series.  Had to keep reading.  Stop talking to me so I can keep reading, I am becoming a bit obsessed.

New Moon 11/24/2008

New Moon by Stephanie Meyer.  Book 2 in the Twilight series.  Ok... read the first one and had to keep going.  I liked this one even better....

Offerings: A Love Story by Tina Williams.
This is a great Catholic fiction book.  We read it for our book club and everyone enjoyed it.  Buy one today, you won't regret it.

Annie. Nineteen and pregnant, Annie accepts Jack's marriage proposal as a way to provide her child with the home and father that she never had. But as Jack shares his love and his Catholic faith with her, she discovers a home and family not only for her baby, but also for herself. Jack. When Jack proposes to Annie, he believes that he can give Annie and her baby all that they need. But as he extends his patience, love, and forgiveness to Annie, he learns that accepting these same gifts in return can be more challenging than giving them.

Catholic, Reluctantly by Christian Frank.  I told you I was looking for Catholic fiction.  This is pretty good so far... Catholic High School stuff.  Will edit this post after I am done.

Yep, you read correctly.  Sweet Valley High - Lovestruck.  Why you ask??  It was in the school library and we wanted to make sure there were not any inappropriate "things" in it.  I sacrificed myself and read it.... quickly.  There was nothing inappropriate in it.... I am wondering if anyone would actually check it out, and if they did, will they know what a cassette is??

The Tale of Despereaux by Kate Dicamillo:  This is going to be made into a movie coming out soon so I thought I would read it first. Its a kids book but very cute so far.

sTori Telling 08/20/2008

sTori Telling by Tori Spelling:  Guilty as charged.  Caught her show on Oxygen and ya know, I like her.  Decided to read her book.  Its pretty good.  She had a strange childhood, sad actually, despite the money and fame her family had.  She always just wanted to be normal.

I am in a book club at the kid's school.  We read either Catholic authors, Catholic books, or Catholic fiction.  It is hard to find Catholic fiction.  If you have any suggestions, leave it here....  Thanks!
